Studio 1908 Jiu jitsu Academy has classes in Jersey City, perfect for kids, teen, and adult martial arts lessons.
At our academy, we have implemented a White Gi only policy to maintain a clean and professional look. We believe that the White Gi not only looks aesthetically pleasing but also reflects the discipline and respect that is central to our training philosophy. By adhering to this policy, we can maintain a consistent appearance for our members and instructors, creating a sense of unity and equality. We understand that some members may have questions or concerns about this policy, but we firmly believe that it is essential for creating a positive and focused training environment. Thank you for your cooperation in upholding this policy.
NO STREET SHOES INSIDE THE GYM
No street shoes policies in gyms are common safety measures designed to protect both the gym-goer and the gym’s equipment. Street shoes, which are worn outside and exposed to a variety of outdoor elements, can track in dirt, mud, and other debris that can damage gym floors and equipment. Additionally, street shoes can create a slipping hazard, especially on wet or damp surfaces, which can lead to injuries. By requiring gym-goers to wear shoes that are specifically designed for indoor use, gyms can help maintain a clean and safe workout environment for all members.
NO BARE FEET IN THE BATHROOM
This rule requires that all students, instructors, and visitors wear shoes or sandals while using the restroom or shower facilities. The purpose of this rule is to prevent the spread of bacteria, fungi, and other infectious agents that may be present on the floor or surfaces in these areas. By following this rule, BJJ practitioners can help maintain a clean and hygienic environment for themselves and their training partners, minimizing the risk of infection and injury.
